Like A Champ

Panel 1: A long shot of a dark grey, three story Victorian townhouse. Jillian’s car is parked in the driveway in front of the garage, and she, Taylor, and Tacitus walk from the car to the stairs leading to the front door on the second floor. It’s raining, and Taylor and Tacitus have their hoods up. Taylor marvels: Dang, this place is neat!
Panel 2: The three of them stand just inside the front door, Tacitus pulling down his hood as he says: “Wait here a moment, I’ll let her know you’re here.”
Taylor, to Jillian as he looks around: “So, whose house is this and why are they letting us stay here?”
Jillian smiles, also looking around: “You’ll see.”
Panel 3: The two begin walking into the house, Jillian glancing back towards Taylor: “I do hope you aren’t too easily spooked.”
Taylor, pulling down his hood: “Hey, I handled it fine when I woke up at midnight in a graveyard, didn’t I?”
Panel 4: Taylor continues, smiling as, unbeknownst to him, a translucent, spectral face of a girl made up of swirling colors and faint sparkles looks up at him from the bottom of the panel. She has no visible nose or mouth, and looks at him with large, pupil-less eyes. “I’m cool with the life after death stuff, the vampire stuff, all that. Handled it all like a champ.”
Panel 5: Taylor’s eyes close as he continues talking, the spectral face lifting up higher to shoulder level. She has long hair that flows into spiral curls at the end. “Honestly at this point there’s really not much else you could show me that would be a surprise.”
Panel 6: Taylor sees her over his shoulder.
Panel 7: Taylor moves away so fast his image blurs as he exclaims: “JESUS”
