Panel 1: Jillian sits at the dining room table with a mug in one hand and her Kindle in the other, reading. Across the kitchen, Darrell enters through the door that leads down to garage level.

Panel 2: He pauses upon seeing her.

Panel 3: Darrell turns to go back downstairs, but before he can go he hears: “Good morning.”

Panel 4: Jillian looks over towards him with a small smile.

Panel 5: Darrell pauses again, looking back over at her.

Panel 6: He looks away but replies: “...morning.”

Panel 7: Jillian, still smiling, asks: “You were out for a while yesterday. Do anything fun?”

Panel 8: Darrell, still looking away: “Yeah, I guess.”

Jillian: “That’s nice.”

Panel 9: There’s an awkward pause as Jillian looks down at her mug and Darrell continues standing in the doorway.

Panel 10: Finally, Darrell takes a step into the kitchen and asks: “...can I talk to you about something?”
