Panel 1: Darrell sits at the table with Jillian, a can of Dr. Pepper in front of him as she holds her mug in both hands. Neither speaks.

Panel 2: Darrell, looking away from her, states: “I’m not a girl. My name is Darrell. I don’t want to be called Wilkes anymore.”

Panel 3: Jillian raises her eyebrows in small surprise: “I see.”

Panel 4: Darrell looks at her with a slightly confused expression: “You don’t… seem too surprised.”

Jillian glances away looking a bit sheepish: “Well, I... somewhat suspected. There were signs.”

Panel 5: Darrell looks shocked: “Wait, so, you have experience with this? There are other dauor who are like me?”

Panel 6: Jillian, with a smile: “Oh, there are plenty. One of my other converts, in fact, is transgender. James. I’m sure you’ll meet him someday.”

Panel 7: She glances away, somewhat embarrassed as she continues: “Also, well… I am.”

Panel 8: Darrell stares in greater shock, eyes wide and mouth agape.

Panel 9: Jillian: “You don’t have to look that surprised!”

Darrell: “Oh- shit, sorry-”

Jillian: “Actually, no, it’s fine. It’s a compliment, really.”
