Panel 1: Darrell asks Jillian, wide eyed: “So it’s possible to transition then.”

Jillian, taking a drink from her mug: “It’s a little complicated, but yes. If that’s what you want I can help you with it.”

Panel 2: Darrell drags a hand across his face, relieved: “Holy shit. Yeah, yeah it’s what I want.”

Panel 3: Jillian: “Now, I can’t say how quickly it will happen. There are a couple of people within the Vekur who specialize in this. I’ll make some calls but I don’t know how soon one of them will be available.”

Darrell waves his hand between them: “That’s fine.”

Panel 4: He smiles a small, relieved smile: “Just knowing this is a thing that can happen… god it makes this all so much more bearable.”

Panel 5: Jillian: “I know how you feel. Truly, I do. I promise to help you with this however I can.”

Darrell: “...thanks. I appreciate it.”

Panel 6: Darrell: “Aren’t you from, like, the dark ages? How did you handle this?”

Jillian, looking annoyed: “Certainly not with the support of the church, but that hasn’t changed.”
